Halloween Bake Sale – Salty Twist

Today my husband’s company organized Halloween bake sale to support Program for Awarness And Cure of Breast Cancer. It was great to contribute towards a great cause by baking/cooking and buying stuff.

My husband and I contributed by baking few dozens of Puff Pastry turnovers and twists. It was a great hit and I just got news that people purchased and loved all of our pastries.
Generally people bake cakes or sweet dishes for bake sale. But we felt, selling something savory will be little different from routine stuff and people will like it. And yes, we were right, people loved our little sweet and salty treats.

We made:

Puff Pastry Turnovers with Curry Infused Potato Stuffing
Puff Pastry Turnovers with Hazelnut Spread Stuffing
Puff Pastry Twists seasoned with pepper medley and Parsley
Puff Pastry Palmier (Elephant Ear cookies)

Sharing with you few photos of the event and you can find recipes on my website => Www.chefDeHome.com

Great cause! What a beautiful table. I have to say that anything salty and sweet is perfection in my book. The whole salted caramel craze makes me so happy. I love your blog!
